ANNOUNCEMENT: Closing Global HERizons

It is with a heavy but full heart that we announce the closure of Global HERizons. Since our establishment in 2017, Global HERizons has been dedicated to fostering the potential of young women through financial support and mentorship. Over the past few years, we have had the privilege of supporting five remarkable young women across Canada, each with a unique vision for a better world. The achievements and impact of these individuals have been truly inspiring, reflecting the strength and potential of rural Canadian women seeking to make a difference.

Despite the meaningful contributions and successes we’ve witnessed, the decision to close Global HERizons has not been an easy one. Unfortunately, primarily due to the impact of the pandemic, and after much reflection, we find ourselves in a position of having to close this chapter of operations. We will be keeping the website up as an archive of this initiative.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of the Global HERizons community – our dedicated team, mentors, partners, and, most importantly, the young women who trusted us with their dreams and aspirations. Your ambition has been the backbone of our organization, and we are immensely thankful for the collaborative efforts that have made the past 6 years so memorable.

As we conclude this chapter, we encourage our supporters to continue championing the ambition and impact of rural Canadian women on the world. The impact of this effort lives on in the achievements of the incredible women we have supported, and we believe their stories will continue to inspire others.

Thank you for being a part of Global HERizons and for your interest in our pursuit of a more inclusive and empowered world.

In solidarity,

The Global HERizons Board
